Faith

Matthew 8:7-10

And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

If Jesus can heal a centurion [a soldier from the government that would later killed Him] what can Jesus do for you? Jesus doesn’t see weather you are worthy or not He sees your faith! Jesus will show compassion and do what you ask if you ask in faith like the centurion. In reference to yesterdays Devotion the centurion do not rely on the wisdom of man to heal but he came to Jesus. The wisdom of Jesus came directly from the father. When you are sick, when you are hurting, when you are in need whose wisdom do you believe? Many people in the bible showed their belief and faith in God by coming to Jesus. The woman with the issue of blood, Mary Martha and Lazarus, and many more trust God and have faith in God to do what He has said in his scripture from the beginning.

I dare you to have faith in every word God has said. His promises are ALL yes and amen. Your faith is also the only way to please God. Today, look for a scripture that pertains to your current need or even a want. Begin to confess that scripture show compassion to others, and walk by faith into the blessing. Walking by faith is simply taking steps toward accomplishing your goal [obedience, sowing a seed, etc.] and letting the rest to God. God bless you in all you do – by faith!
