God’s Power

God’s Power

1 Corinthians 2:4-5

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

Your faith must stand on the power of God and not man! This is so important because man makes mistakes and man can be deceiving. If you trust the Lord and commune with Him you will stand firm and not be tossed in the wind. You will be like a tree planted by living waters with deep roots. No matter how hard the wind blows or the water rises you will stand.

Evaluate how much faith you are placing in man verses Gods power. Is your local church doctrine more important to you than the word of God? If God told you to do something would you take the necessary steps to do it or would you let mans boundaries stop you? Do not break the law or disrespect leaders but you must seek God to believe what he says! You must seek God to build your faith in His power!

Act 16 (verse 25-26)

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

Praise and worship can break chains off of you! Read the whole passage today so that you can get full understanding of the story. To sum the story up, in your midnight hour do not just go to sleep or try to sleep your problems away instead praise the Lord. As you begin to praise the Lord and magnify the Lord your problem shrink in comparison.

I challenge you to praise and worship in your midnight hour and the chains will break! Sickness will break, pain will break, and curses will break! Praise the Lord. Be a chain breaker!

Psalms 92:1

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High:

Today is a great day to sing your song to the Lord. Sing a song of thanks that comes from the testimony of what God has done for you. Even if you don’t have the best voice you can still sing a song to God about the things He has done.

Today maybe a hard day but God is still bringing you through. If you have sickness in your body, headaches from stress, any major or minor issue try singing a sweet song to the Lord. Your enemy may count you out but your praise will count you in! Singing is a great stress reliever and as you make the word up about what God is doing or has done your faith is being built!

Psalms 150:5-6

Praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.

We were all created to worship! Every instrument, person, and creature is a part of grand worship to the creator. In Luke 19:40 Jesus says that if the disciples were to hold their peace the stones would cry out immediately! This testifies that all creation is used for worship and praise!

Do what your were created for and worship the Lord! Worship means adoration, love, devotion, and even more specifically to bow down in adoration, love, devotion. Today, practice bowing down to God in various ways – physically, with your money, and with your time. You will find that you feel more whole and complete because you are doing what you were created to do!

Psalms 113:3

From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised.

The more you praise the Lord and exalt His name the more He will be in your presence. He will rain down on you! Gods name will be praised regardless if its from you or from the stones so why let the stones have all the fun. Join in with all of creation and praise the Lord!

Today and everyday praise the Lord everywhere you go at anytime. Praise God around your children, at your job, and even in public places. Praising the Lord does not have to be a spectacle but it comes from the heart and is done in the Spirit.

Isaiah 25:1

O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

Who are you giving praises too? Many Christians have a nasty habit of puffing up the works of the devil and they do not even realize it. We all know that the devil is busy we know that he is up to no good so why do we need to constantly hear about it. Walk in to any hospital and I’m sure you can find the work of the devil somewhere. Instead of worrying about, talking about, or even focusing on the devil Give he glory to God. God is majestic, almighty, all powerful, love, faithful, king over all kings, able to do exceedingly an abundantly above all that you can ask or think, and there is no one greater than Him. It doesn’t matter what is happening, pain, sickness, money issues, etc.

Be mindful of who you are giving praise too! God’s glory is above the heavens and the earth. He is the Great I am. Lets give Him what He is due.

Psalms 113:4

For the Lord is high above the nations; his glory is higher than the heavens.

Do you know how important your praise and worship is? Don’t let your praise and worship be hindered or kept down by your circumstances. When you worship the Lord you are connecting with the Father. The bible tells us that the true worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth not in flesh and in truth. Your worship should not be kept down by anything fleshly. Your praise and worship takes you high above the nations and above the earth! We are seated in heavenly realms with Christ Jesus and to access those realms we must worship.

With your mouth call out all those hindering circumstances and forces and tell them that will not stop you from worshiping God. Close your eyes and think about how high you are going when you praise the Lord! As you worship the Lord and forget your problems peace that surpasses all understanding will over take you!

Receive Your Blessing

Receive Your Blessing

Deuteronomy 28:8

The Lord shall command the blessing upon you in your storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless you in the land which the Lord thy God giveth you.

It is so amazing that this scripture says God will command a blessing on us! To command is a strong gesture. To command means to have authority over something. He has given us authority over the blessing. We are in control of receiving or in some cases not receiving the blessing on our life and on our land. The land that God has given us can be our homes, part of the earth, and anything we own. This reminds me of the prayer of Jabez found in 1 Chronicles 4:10. The first line of the prayer is, “… Oh that thou would bless me indeed…”

I challenge you to go to your church service and expect to be blessed, go to work and expect to be blessed. Do not just wait for blessing to drop out of the sky but use your authority and command the blessing to come. By faith expect the blessing to come!

Ezra 3:11

And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the Lord; because he is good, for his mercy endureth forever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.

Israel was singing and giving God praises because He is so faithful! It is important that we give God praises for his faithfulness and all that he does. God’s faithfulness truly does endure forever. He was faithful in the beginning to Noah, when Jesus came to give us life abundantly, and even now through all our trails tribulations mess up and mistakes. God is faithful!

Take a moment out of each day to just stop and shout to God in praise for His faithfulness. Thank Him for the little things as well as the great things, for he deserves all the praise.

Gen 15:5-6

And he brought him forth abroad, and said, look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Do you ever wonder why God changed Abram to Abraham? Abraham simply means father of many! This is the promise that God gave him. The change was not just about the promise it was also about the faith. Verse 6 says that Abram believed the Lord and God counted him righteous. The change came when he believed!

Remember that everything you do for the Lord is by faith! If you would just believe and regardless of what circumstances come your way! You must walk by faith and not by sight. Your faith is the first step to a wonderful change!
