Matthew 28 [28:5-8]
And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come; see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is raised from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

It is finally Easter Sunday! Have you heard that Christ is raised? Jesus constantly told the disciples that a time was coming where he would be crucified and He also told them a time would come when he would be raised and Glorified. Even with this information many of His followers came looking for Him in the wrong place. Did they hear that Christ would be raised from the dead or did that just slip from their ears? Clearly they heard it when they came to an empty tomb to look. They had no choice but to hear what the angel said because they came upon an unexpected scene that provide an unexpected blessing.
Use this Sunday to get excited about the unexpected blessings of God. Get excited about the life and resurrection of Christ instead of getting depressed about the death and crucifixion. Why? We can still walk with Christ today. We can still hear Christ today. We can even fellowship with Him. By reading Gods words, through praise and worship, and by telling other people the gospel we can be sure that Christ is raised. Have a Happy Resurrection Day!
