With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.

Resurrection power needs to reside on the inside on every Christian unless you want to be brook and busted! Although it seems to us unlikely that resurrection power and provision and wealth are related the scripture clearly tell us they are. In the verse for today it says, “With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them.” Could you imagine no needy people around us? Consider not just the homeless but consider yourself! Whatever you are going through and whatever you need can be accessed through Jesus Christ and the power that He obtained in His victory over the cross. Why is it that you still need things? Why is it that people are dying from heart attacks because of their worry and fear? It is time to live and not die.
Imagine yourself being like the church member who sold land gave to the apostles. They did not just give a tithe they abundantly exceeded the tithes because God had provided already everything they needed. This week meditate on Gods word and practice living like a person who has no needs. When you receive the power of resurrection eventually you wont have any physical needs but instead you will be meeting other peoples needs!
